Storage for large based minis

So I\'m primarily painting for RPG gaming, and am getting to some \'large\' minis which should take up 2\" (10\') squares on a playmat. No problem, but if I base them that size, all of a sudden a troll or what have you that was standing in a nice plane (i.e. not with it\'s arms out, so it would lay nicely in a case) has a huge base on it. Has anyone come up with a practical solution for this? I\'m currently using Chessex cases, and want to continue using them. 1\" bases are no biggie, but 2\" bases are going to cause me to be putting a single layer in a box, which is fairly impractical. I really don\'t want to start buying new cases for these guys...

Do what I do, convince your players to play at your place, so you don\'t have to worry about transporting anything.

Other then that, the only real good cases I have found for multiple sized mobs are the ones like GW sells. Where it\'s a foam insert and you can remove sections of foam to fit pretty much anything.

check Platt Cases

they make great foam filled cases of every size. They are a tad pricey though, not sure about the cost of the GW cases. Platt makes GREAT products though.
