I suppose a big consolation to all of this fiasco is that airlines may have taken advantage of the few days they were grounded and have gotten caught up on their minor maintenance lists. Maybe travellers will get an extra bag of peanuts for the inconvenience?
Not a hope in hell in fact on the flight yesterday I thought they were trying to contribute to my wieght loss, they were very free with the drinks but I am sure they missed out a couple of meals...

Apologies for the early morning texts, wel maybe

I knew you would be up Mike and I wanted to let you know I would be there as I had asked you to pick up a few bits for me, the text was sent as I was legging it through immigration desk into Departures as they gave me 20 minutes to get on the plane from the time they called for somebody travelling on their own to take a place somebody didn't turn up for. In the end we got pushed out then back in again and were delayed an hour due to a fault with the engine anti-icing system and about four hours out of London they asked for a doctor to the upper level thankfully we didn't get diverted though.
I will probably be the one drinking copious amounts of black coffee to stay awake during the day and I have no intention of driving in London even when not tired, the M25 is the closest I will drive to it all.
