Hard edge highlights, the thorn in my side, are these looking ok on the legs, looks a bit odd IRL, but the pic seems ok.

Any thoughts?

Ohh, she's neat. Where's she from?

It's looking really good, I'd say. The visor in particular. The bodysuit looks a bit flat, though, but I don't know if you're going for a matte look...? The edge highlights are pretty stark and I'm not 100% sure what sort of materials her getup is meant to be made out of. Really digging the subtle gray/black panels on the bodysuit.

Cheers Sionid, shes from andrea miniatures, Mila Kusanagi Firereach commando.

Yeah, the under suit looked a bit . . . well, Greys were to close.

Still working on her, shes getting there slowly but surely.

These are realy nice kits, not a lot of flash.

2 down 4 to go!

Those look pretty cool. Especially like the zenithal lighting on the Andrea miniature. Maybe some purple in the shadows to deepen the grey?

Thanks stuart,

the andrea is still ongoing and still on the desk, (i'll get round to finishing her one day :))

Managed to get another Guild done today (Lady Justice)

Just the Death marshalls to go now!

The muted colour palettes work so well with the dynamic poses. Good job, man. Those minis are a joy to look at.

Hopefully the flames look OK, if anyone has any ideas how to pop em a lil more please leave a comment.

Really like the flames, I would actually want more contrast into the clothes and skin to make the figures come alive even more. But you have made a very good result for such a short time you painted these in.

Thanks Kretcher, if i spend too much time painting a mini it gets the better of me, like the andrea mini, shes still not finished.

Heres this weekends painting, they look a lil chalky, and im thinking maybe a thin wash over certain parts, the cloaks etc, to smooth things out.

Hope you like. J.

I paint my thumb.
Wow, ive been gone since october . . . !

Yeah, I know how that feels :( Time just moves so fast without minis to focus on. Welcome back.

I like the play on lights on the right dude. Hoping you have a plan to get rid of the gloss on the red ( Or at least subdue it.)
