Styrene/Plasticard thickness

I know some people use plasticard for weapons, and was wondering if anyone here has done so, and what thickness is best for this. I would like to try this material for a battle-axe if that helps. Thanks!

For a big ass axe, some 2mm or 1.5mm thick should be good. 1mm is good for thin swords. If you have a retailer nearby just by some of them in varying thicknesses and try it out !

what normally do is use layers of thin sheet to give a stepped effect and use filler to make the edge of the blade.... this makes it nice and uniform....

Hey thanks for the help!
Calavera - either we think alike or you have seen my stuff, a \"big-ass axe\" is EXACTLY what I have in mind!

I will have to order from that plastrcut, no local hobby store seems to have it.
