I gave up all thoughts of playing ten years ago... But then again, I gave up painting too, 5-6 years ago... :innocent:

Way to go Eric, now give us more mini\'s. It has been way too long.

More mini\'s or else :flame: lollol

Seriously though congrats, just remember dom\'t take it for granted and always enjoy what you do for a living!

So how are house prices in the bay area?

Whoo Hoo! Aint that a great feeling?:D I\'m a graphic designer too; I don\'t know what it is, but something about getting a good job is so thrilling. I had made an ad that was printed on 2.5 million Pepsi cans in the greater Green Bay, WI area ;) I was bouncing off the walls.
And you\'re right, there isnt anything better than getting paid for being artistic. It\'s so nice. ..

Congrats again Eric :)

Anders, actually as a little reward to myself I\'m going to make the bits order from GW online this weekend for everything I need for my GD entry. I think I have a pretty good idea that will hopefully be eye-catching, now I just need to put in the hours and attempt to pull it off!

Anja, shhhh, I still believe I\'m a 40k player...just because I haven\'t played in about 2.5 years even though I\'ve painted an army and a half in that time doesn\'t mean anything :D I like keeping my innocence. Oh, and you asked what\'s my usual drink, well usually vodka-tonic, but it\'s ok if you have a beer, I\'ll understand :)

Donga - yeah, my own boss, I still haven\'t gotten used to the idea of that thought...do I fire myself if I\'m slacking off too much?? ???

Dragonpaint - Lets hope, with house prices around here, I\'m still not sure I can afford one. They just released 2005 numbers and the Median house in Santa Cruz county now is $700k. And that\'s maybe 3 bedrooms max and 1200 square feet, of course with no good views.

Melsuzat - Glad to hear this can actually work, thanks for the support and first hand feed back of the experience.

Grizzix - CONGRATS to you too, that sounds wonderful.

Drake - More minis on the way, although in the next 2 weeks at least no new post submissions, since I\'ll be digging into CCV minis and Paint Aid Tyrant.

Thanks all! I\'m still just thrilled...although dead at work after celebrating all last night, but it\'s friday, I can fake it for one day, just no one tell. ;)

thanks Grumb, and I\'m glad to see I\'m inspiring drinking in the CMON community. :D

Oh, and I nearly forgot, with this news I\'m now looking into the cost of plane tickets to UK, and the possibilities of taking a certain week off in late september...If you get my meaning ;)

Well it\'s one thing to say it, and it\'s another to actually do it. But I found this VERY cute house and I\'m actually making an offer, which is a bit more nerve wracking than I expected. The thought of basically starting that part of my life where I will likely be in debt for the rest of it! Where is a fainting smiley when you need it.

But it\'s a better place than I ever thought I could get, wonderful neighborhood, 2 blocks from he beach. Now I just have to hope my offer is accepted, looks like I won\'t be the only one...

It\'s this beach too

Right where the water touches the right side of the photo, 2 more blocks above the beach is where it is!

Ok, but I\'m bringing this up because it is slowing down the Paint Aid ogre a little. I really really am shooting to get him done in time, and trust me, painting beats filling out loan doc any day! But I also don\'t want to rush on him either although I should have about 15 hours to give him this weekend if need be. I\'ll try to post WIP\'s later today however!

Thanks everyone!

@Eric : don\'t worry about the ogre, real life is always more important than a mini ;). Good luck with the house :).

of course I\'m worrying about the ogre! But I think it\'s actually really good, it\'s very relaxing to me to paint and sculpt, and there is no way I\'m leaving this project without doing my part to the best of my ability. Besides, this has been BY FAR the most sculpting and converting I\'ve done and I\'m determined to do good. ;)

I just wanted to let people know what\'s up with me and my Ogre!

@Eric : Well I\'m happy you\'re hitting it off with Shrek ;). If you could get me Fiona\'s number, I would appreciate it lol. No, seriously, I have no doubt on the fact that you\'ll do your best, just don\'t let it make you miss a good occasion on a house :).

Is that the Capitola pier? It looks a little different but Capitola would be a nice area to buy a house. All that area is nice actually. Good luck getting everything worked out.
