Yup

I\'ve got a white brush on primer that i\'m planing to use. Actually budhhad gave me a good idea for in the future, and that\'s to paint the sword and the model seperately (which would be WAY easier because i could use a spray on primer for the model and then just hand paint the sword). But for this guy i\'ll have to do it all by hand.
I might be adding a FEW highlights to the blade, but i want to keep it clear to it looks good from every angle, not just the one i plan on taking the picture from (know what i\'m saying?). It looks WAY better in person though, the digi cam don\'t do it no justice. *sigh*
Thanks for the comments though!:)

I think it looks great. Great idea! I understand what you are saying about looking at it from one angle. Every time I see NMM in real person it looks odd unless you look at it from one specific angle. Great idea and great way of pulling it off. I can\'t wait to see it finished.

What you could do is spray some matte sealant (which has the advantage of being transparent) ; they say it works acceptably for priming purposes. Also, it\'d allow you to paint stuff on the blade, like I don\'t know, runes, edge highlights, and such.

Just a thought :).

P.S. I still think the hilt\'s greenstuff will show through the transparent blade...

Edit : hm, too late, you already started the painting. Oh well.

Yup and yup

Good idea on the sealer/primer... i\'ll have to give that a go on the windows of the Titan i\'m building!

You can just barely see a hazy, dirty green something down in the base of the blade, but you have to be looking for it and you have to know what it is. It\'s one of those flaws only the maker knows about, so i\'m not to upset with it. Hoepfully pics will be up today:D It\'s my first attempt at seriously painting a model, so we\'ll see if i even break a 6!
