super glue question

I use Zap-a-Gap ca+ to glue my metal minis. Will this dry up and get brittle and fall apart after several years like use to happen when I use to make plastic car models years ago? Back then I used normal testors plastic glue.

I\'d hate for my minis to fall apart after I spend several hours painting them.

What\'s the most commonly used glue or best glue to use?

i use that and some stuff from hobby lobby both work fine and i have had no problems you should be fine.

A tight fit and the least amount of superglue possible. Superglue\'s structure is very weak, but it bonds with other surfaces marvelously. Otherwise, the best (IMO) to use is epoxy, one just needs patience with it. It doesn\'t bond as well, but its structure is super strong.

The plastic glue should never have let go after a few years, as it\'s meant to melt the plastic and join the pieces together as a single piece. The glue should be a solvent.

I\'ve struggled with different types of super glue for some time...but the best i\'ve found is called Loctite.

And I use a superglue accelerator. But don\'t forget the importance of pinning.

Had great sucess with 5 minuet epoxy. And the part about 5 minuet\'s is pretty accurate.

I have used an endless supply of glues and the one that works the best is this:

It sells for ca. $2 I found a cheaper version that works exactly the same and is sold in 2-packs for the same cost:

You can get this from their website SUPERGLUE but if you\'re in the states it will be available alot of places. This stuff flows more smoothly than old-school superglue and holds forever. I have dropped models(from high) and sustained only paint chipping. Never lost an arm or sword. Vike is right though. Pin everything as well.
