Hello all :)

I will start with a brief introduction of myself, my name is Oliver, i have been doing warhammer and warhammer 40K in and off for 11 years, i have recently got back into it after a few months out and i have desperately been trying to improve my painting and now my sculpting, and that leads to my queery.

i have rarely ever done any sculpting, and what i have done in the past border lined desecration rather than art, anyway, i was hoping some of you lovely people on here could point me in the right direction, in terms of techniques, how to work with epoxy putties ect ect. Any useful links would also be really nice :)

just to let you know i am currently using Miliput (the standard grey (ish) one) i can easily come buy most forms of miliput and green stuff where i live

anyway, thank you very much in advance :)

Welcome to the site! There is a plethora of information on this site alone so you've come to a good place to start. The Miniature Mentor series of tutorial videos include a few sculpting ones which could be worth a look if you have a bit of spare cash, however the "Sculpt-along" forum on here is a really good place to look ;)

Don't forget to post up a thread in the work-in-progress forum too!

pete.

That's what they're there for :good:

Milliput Grey-Green is not a bad medium to work in when you know how to handle it (plenty of masters are sculpted in it still), but in terms of learning to sculpt it's not the best. I would either advise blending it with a little Kneadatite/greenstuff to improve its working characteristics or switching to something more user-friendly, such as MagicSculp or ProCreate.

Yeah i read about mixing greenstuff and milliput standard together, I will hopefully pick some up in town tomorrow and see how i get in :)

i had a go with just milliput on my eldar, putting some more details on a dire avenger exarch and doing some gap filling and I got on okay with it :)
