Is it ok to keep this stuff in a fridge or even a freezer (not a freezer above the fridge but the deep freeze one in the basement)?

It says to keep it in a cool place...

I think it would be ok, but I really dont know. I have some that is a few years old that I\'ve left on a shelf in a shoebox that is still in perfect condition. It\'s 3 or 4 years in storage. I know it\'s in good condition because I pulled it out and played with it last month when I got an urge.

Anyway, my point, I dont think you need to go to that extreme to store it. When they say \"cool dry place\" they mean typical room temperature, not in the window/sunlight or not on top of the radiator or fridge etc.

I\'ve stored sculpey canes in my freezer for the last 2 years without it affecting the sculpey, and I keep the rest of it in a plastic box in the closet.

Usually I only keep sculpey canes in the freezer so I can make clean cuts in the cane without distorting the inner patterns. There shouldnt really be any other reason its stored there.
Just make sure the sculpey is kept out of direct sunlight and reasonably cool.

Btw, Canes are used for Millefiori:

well a fridge is certainly cool and dry, but I don\'t think the freezer is too good of an idea. I\'d think the water content of the sculpey would freeze and loose some of its consistancy when thawed.

I\'ve keep mine is a drawer, with no ill effects, for well over 2-3 years.

mine has sat on my desk for, oh about a year, which is on average how long it takes me to get through 1kg.

no adverse effects, some prople store green in the freezer to retain it\'s freshness, but this is the first that I have heard of it done in sculpey.
