Superhero Miniatures!?

Hi everyone!

I have a big question and I\'m sure the collective wisdom of CMON can help me.

I\'m looking for producer of miniatures that are:

*in fact superhero miniatures
*or miniatures that can easily be converted

They should not have too much SF or Fantasy equipment. Also it would be alright if they fit into some sort of superhero stereotype. Like: big brute or fast athlete. f.e. this sort of mini from hasslefree:

Mainly I\'m looking for Minis at normal tabletop scale, but I guess some 40mm ones could be also interesting for giants. I have also seen a mini looking like a screaming Hulk sometime ago, but I can\'t find it now.

I know that their are tons of heroclix minis out there. But its rather difficult to get the right ones you need in your hands and sometimes they explode at ebay. Metal ones would be better for converting I think.

And by the way, does anyone know a good rulebook for superhero skirmish tabletop? My friends and I want to make some houserules, but its always good to have something to pick out good info.

Thank you for reading and thank you even more for info or links to minis/producers. :)

@GunjiNoKanrei: Thx for the links and that Reaper Mini was exactly the one I couldn\'t find.

@supervike: I guess I\'ll try my luck at the local monthly Comic fleamarket. Perhaps I get some nice Clix too.

Thx guys! Woah Artisan, that are really some great dioramas.
I love what you did to the sandman. Cause the normal Mini is a shame and your version really looks cool.
And I didn\'t know that a Magneto Mini of that pose existed or did you convert another Mini for the job?

Anyway, kind of difficult is that we want to make or own Heroes and not existing ones. But perhaps we can just do that with heavy conversions and an other colour schemes on those Clix-minis.

You\'d be AMAZED at how many different superheroes there are in the HeroClix stuff.

Since day one, we\'ve been buying them and then re-basing them on GW bases for use in CHAMPIONS as heroes or villains.

And I had started a project to convert some or repaint some for different PCs, but we haven\'t played for awhile.

Umm, Champions? That\'s some skirmish tabletop game? Could you link info or something please, because I\'m really interested in rules for tabletop games using heroes as well.

Thank you. The Magneto mini actually exists. He\'s part of the Ultimates line of HeroClix figs. It\'s a very nice clean sculpt so you won\'t have trouble repainting. My Sandman was made with a Grey Hulk torso, a Colossus head, a fist from a Wolverine action figure and lots of green stuff.

Take a look through the whole Clix lines DC and Marvel. You should be able to find a few models that will suit your needs after a good repaint or conversion. Good luck and make sure you share with us what you come up with.
