Could anyone please give me some tips on achieving a grimy and sweaty looking skin ( not personally, but on a mini.... of course )

Something along the line of someone working in a boiler room or close to a furnace.

I\'d say to use some brown/black washes and stipple it on a bit too, similar to creating rust effects or mud at the bottom of a cloak. Then once it\'s finished apply some gloss varnish to the face and wherever you want the sweat (it might be even more effective to paint some darker sweat stains on the shirt (if he has one).

Don\'t forget also to make his face a bit red. Especially if he\'s working near heat.

I\'d say one of the best ways would be to actually use some gloss, assuming one isn\'t tied into an all-matt finish.

The grimy part is easy, since that\'s just basic weathering. The sweaty part is hard to pull off using colour alone, obviously some kinds of flushing associated with being hot would be worth playing around with but without gloss the effect is lessened.
