May i say its damn frigthening and funny... plus im a slight gun nut, so you will most likely insight a conversation about weapons and i will forget about your daughter altogether.
My friend\'s father did the \"let me show you my gun collection\" thing to her boyfriend the first time they met... as a joke. It took him a few minutes to realize he was being had, apparently. They are now happily married :)

Do some test cutting with your swords and let him see the results. Getting shot is pretty abstract to all but an unfortunate few, but everyone\'s been cut. Unless he\'s been raised in the SCA or by Greek Hoplites, he should be pretty freaked.

Um, as a teenager myself, 16 is not the start of it...
Try 12...
A friend of mine just had an abortion and she is 13!

I often invite the guys to go to the shooting range with me. They are welcome to hold the targets. :wow:

Sorry, confused here. Why do you have a big Christian fish spinning around in your signature if you\'re so keen on guns and shooting? How queer! lol

And also, from my experience as a sixteen year old, it was the girls who were more grown-up and looking for the attention of boys older than themselves, It wasn\'t the boys making the moves. Silly things. Really, why protect something that can cause untold damage anyway?

Rev, I grew up hunting and fishing. Always had guns around the house from as long back as I can remember. Spent a bit in the military and got to shoot some fun stuff there too. I still go to the range and keep in practice and have a pistol for home defence as well. Christian yes, but I am not going to go unarmed into a gun fight. I know that most of the European contries have forfeited their rights to gun ownership to their governments and see the U.S. as similar to its wild west heritage, but most of that is pure Hollywood. Come on over, I\'ll take you to the range and we\'ll punch some holes in some paper.

I was just getting a bit nervous lol

WOuld you gunfight then? I ain\'t picking a theological argument, I\'m just looking to see what someone from over there thinks about guns in correlation with their faith *thinks about opening a new thread :D*

Want to see fun competitive old west style shooting, check out the Single Action Shooting Society SASS

Now... If someone was to break into my house in the middle of the night, I would consider that a threat to my family. Yes I would confront that person armed and be willing to use deadly force.

Mostly though, I enjoy shooting round paper targets. Was on the pistol team in college (olympic style) and as my eyes get worse, so do my scores (very similar to here...)

Dawn,
Don\'t laugh to hard, I just had a \"chat\" with the young man who has decided that my little girl is the love of his life. He is 14 is will be 12 next week. Very nice kid, I like him alot, he took it very well when I told him that he was to NEVER think about Sex and Torrie!
:D

As to the whole shooting thing, I love to shoot also, my DH has a nice gun collection and about twice a year we go out on date night, our favorite date is t go to the range and shoot. The funny bit, for years I was terrified of guns, then after time in the Army, not anymore. My husband knew me when I was afraid of guns, so the first time we went shooting he was really surprised when I shot as well as he did! He took one look at my target, told me \"I am never going to piss you off!\"
