Well I\'ve been a member for over a year and yet I have yet to post a single picture of a miniature!

To right this terrible wrong I bring ye my first WiP thread!

First a poll without a poll. Which colour scheme is better for my test American WW2 infantry
A is what I hoped to look like D-day Paratroopers and B is bog standard army. Which in my very blurry photo is better?

Second is a rifleman for my British squad.

Next is my 95% complete Hasslefree Miranda. All I have left to do is the left eye and the shoes.

Lastly is Hasslefree\'s Billie (hunted) who isnt Newt, oh no deffinatly not lol.

I appoligise for the lack of detail as that was as far as I could get without the camera losing what little focus it has, seeing as the mini is so damn tiny!

Over 100 views and no comments eh?
The ones posted prviously have all been finished and just have to be based and will be in my gallery soon.

I\'ve just been to pick up the stuff I ordered from GW. For my next project I will be making a miniature of the Knight of Flowers from A Song of Ice and Fire out of bits and pieces of Empire and Bretonnian knights, based on a picture of him I found.

I\'m just cleaning the flash and mouldlines off the parts I need so photos of the actual mini will be soon.

I also ordered Arwen on Foot. Again photos coming as soon as I start painting it.

Its really difficult to say which one I prefer as I cant see them properly. That anti dandruff shampoo though looks great:D

Sort your photo\'s out, I know its difficult, but its the only way you will get some serious comments, good luck:D

Thanks, it keeps my hair nice and clean AND stops those horrible flakes.

I\'ve fiddled with the camera so it now takes better quality photos.

Making sure it focus\' on the mini and not the background will probably help aswell lol

Sure, he looks like a generic knight now, but once he\'s got some paint on him he will be more unique. And yes I know, I need to clean up the left arm.

Also for your viewing pleasure WW2 Americans!

Much better photos ;)

The knight looks like you could be onto a winner, reproducing those colours and details will be a challenge.

The WWii yankis are a bit messy, and both colours are not accurate to the real uniforms, however I like them both for table top quality. I\'d try catachan green and highlight with catachan mixed with white or bleached bone.:D
And are they varnished, if so, you need to change the type to testors dullcote available on ebay

that noght looks cool just a point though the arms are the wrong way round but this may just be because of the cool helm in hand bit

Looking good, try to do the eyes, if you dont you could mess it up, at a later stage. Hope youve got a good brush.

Maybe try a scab red wash on the face VERY WATERED DOWN THOUGH

Keep up the good work.:D

Like the dozy git that I am I have shall we say misplaced the arms of the knight of flowers. And indeed the knight of flowers himself. So a new project is needed!

With Medieval: Total War 2 just arround the corner I\'ve been playing the original to death. One of the events that caught my eye was the Childrens Crusade. Therefore I am going to recreate the picture on the event window in miniature form.
childrenscrusade.jpg

Seeing as there is a distinct lack of crusading children (or indeed children) I am going to have to sculpt my own. Never tried sculpting an entire figure before (let alone a dozen) so it\'ll be a challenge and teach me something new.

Cool, id like to see how this progresses! Your signature is very interesting, i have been reading alot recently about philosophys and concepts behind The Matrix, and this fits the perfect example of a \'matrix\' environment.

Good to see you got the photos sorted. I would like to see a bit more of the knight as I think it will turn out nicely. Good start for your first post and welcome to the forums.

Threadromancy for the soul

Good news and even more good news!
The good news: I found Sir Loras under a box and will restart painting him soon!

The even more good news is I need\'nt bothered as Tom Meier is sculpting this:

I\'ll also be updating this WiP more often as a late New Years Resolution. I simply have too much stuff unpainted!

Halt the presses! Swordwind is actually updating his WiP!

Unfortunatly its just for one bad picture of my Beelphegor the Soul Reaper (who deffinatly isnt Prince Arthas)

Sorry for the poor quality, I had to increase the brightness with the computer. I\'m going to get one of them fancy daylight bulbs on the way home from College tomorrow. Oh and the zoom on my camera is broken, so a lot of squinting will be needed ;)

Update! I\'m slowly getting there. Right now I\'m working on the head and sword hand aswell as the furs on the back of his legs. I\'m not too happy with the leather on the gauntlet and the back of the skull on his shoulder so I\'ll probably redo them aswell. And I\'d just noticed I havent painted the dagger on his right hip
