Has anyone seen T4 and what did you think. I\'m assuming that no news is bad news. I don\'t have high hopes.......is there any story to get in the way of the effects/destruction?

I\'m only mildly curious about it. After T3, I\'m more likely to wait for the DVD release, and rent it.

run, scream and shoot, run some more... scream \"NOOOOOO!!!!\", scream \"YEEEESSSS! Pained facial expression, some more... a bit closer... and with some smudged blood this time
run some more and shoot... shoot that thing on wheels... another one in the air... kick some butt some more and scream again
The Governor of California shows up in person and try to kick some butt semi-successfully.
In essence mildly entertaining and very repetitive. If you really have nothing better to do, it is watchable, otherwise watch something else or wait for DVD.
My 13 year old kid, who supposed to be a part of target audience liked \"Night in the museum\" much more.

So in other words, if I need an afternoon of mindless violence then its OK.
I saw T4 the other night. Skeeve pretty much hit it on the head. Only thing I\'ll add is that the first 60% is much more enjoyable than the final half hour. Frankly, the plot gets really unbelievable and trite (even for a summer action movie).
I don\'t mind the $8 I spent. I just want those 2 hours back.

I liked T3 and I liked T4. It\'s not great, it\'s defo not cinema!
Good enough for a summer flick. Better then the piece of poop in my brain that was Wolverine for sure!

Its kinda like eating a birthday cake by yourself... Its fun but after your finished you still feel kind of empty. I saw it and have to admit I was definitely entertained for the whole movie, but this one was entirely unnecessary. It didnt further the story at all but showed you what you already knew happened (from the first two, I pretend T3 doesnt exsist) with some cool fight scenes.

Hmmm.... I actually enjoyed T3. I liked the inevitability of it all. And I get a hige kick out of yelling in the worst Ah-nuld impression ever \"Terminator threeeee RISE of the MACHINESSS!\". Sometimes as a battle cry, and in any game where I have the option of playing a killer robot, or just a nice robot like Robo-Rally I always get my T3 yellin\' goin\' on.
But T4 certainly was loud enough. I\'ve never heard A-10\'s sound like their rockin heavy duty jet engines before. Top Gun woulda been jealous of the T4 engines for sure.

like when Cameron took over the franchise of Alien from Ridley Scott? Cameron is good but he\'s not the be all and end all for sure.

I thought T4 was excellent. I\'m a big fan of the whole Terminator plot/story. The only part about the new movie I didnt like was at the end, regarding the random desert medical tent and cheesy lines \"his heart can\'t take it...\"
Aside from that I loved it, along with the rest of the series. My ranking of the films:

Havent seen T4 yet, but I think I can still safely say that the only film in the series that is truly great, in my eyes, is the first one (as so often is the case). It has its flaws and it is very much an 80s film, but I have no problem with that. The first film benefits from having a fresh, and original story. Cheesy music and the occasional technical short-comings don\'t bother me.
The second film, while being a good film, is very much a sequel. A lot of its appeal lies in the effects (which were pretty much top of the line when the film came), one-liners and references to the first film. As a stand-alone film it doesn\'t reach the same level as the first one, especially not nowadays when the effects are pretty much standard fare.
I chose not to even mention the third film.

Weel I have to say that I enjoyed both the first and the second immensely.
As I see them they are 2 completely different genres - 1st is horror, while the 2nd is pure action. Because they are so different I think it´s really hard to compare them and say that one is better than the other, so I think I´ll say that they are equally good (and nr. 3 was a VERY generic, bland, bubblegum-mess which would have been a lot better if they had been ballsy enough to go past the PG13 rating....
...and Aliens is -in my opinion - the best in the quadroligy - by FAR! James Cameron rocked in his younger days!
