Table Ready Swooping Hawks

Hey all, I posted a new entry to my blog about getting an army table ready to a 'game quality' standard of painting. This site is full of golden demon quality paints, but for a lot of people just getting a model done for the table top is their goal. Here's a squad of Swooping Hawks that are just for that purpose. Enjoy!

The look pretty darned snazzy! Had a look at your blog and I like the feel of the Scorpions too.

Just when I'm trying so hard not to buy a heap of Eldar myself! I think I'll have to turn the computer off for a few days and let the auctions run out...

Ha ha, do it! Eldar are awesome.. tactically speaking they're incredibly flexible. I've fallen in love with the new Night Spinner tank.. S6 AP- pinning, rending, forces difficult and dangerous terrain checks next time the unit hit moves, and did I mention it can shoot 72in indirect? Yes please!

I'd never have finished the test piece...

I've been buying up plenty of old metal Space Wolves so have to sit on the wallet for a for weeks at least. Damn Jes Goodwin and his awesomeness!!

No one seems to have Warp Spiders - what's with that? Great-looking minis win battles

Cos they are a Git to paint.
Having said that it must be '94 since I did any. Ouch!

Grumble must not hit wrong button before finished typing!
As to the Hawks I have to agree with PegaZus those are Well above Tabletop/ Battle ready standard. Nice colour choice as well.

Blimey Charlie! You're actually making me want to paint my Swooping Hawks that've been sitting in my cupboard for about 15 years! I really do love the models, but daaaaamn, do they blow in-game :(

Back onto your paint-job, though, the grey is lovely, and the splashes of colour balance it very nicely indeed. Definitely well above what I'd consider tabletop.

incidentally, just to make kalidane feel better:

painted a couple of years ago, granted, but painted nonetheless.

nice spears! I've always found white to be a right bugger to do, myself. I do agree though - Eldar are great minis to paint. That's what got me into this hobby, way back in the misty reaches of time. Jes Goodwin's eldar in rogue trader just made me go "ooh" and that was that. Twenty-odd years, 8000+points and a titan, here we are :)

THose hawks are indeed way above table ready! I like the attention you've paid to the bases as well, they really bring something more to the models. Must be great to play against our army, care for an army picture shot?
