Take it All Off

So I read the great article about Klean Strip Brush Cleaner and Conditioner to strip acrylic and latex paint off miniatures, but cannot find the product!

I am making due with Klean Strip Brush Cleaner, and it isn\'t working as well.

After 2 weeks in the Brush Cleaner:

You\'re in the US? Easy-Off oven cleaner works well for stripping paint, as does Simple Green.

You could also buy caustic soda and make up your own solution (handle with care!) as this is the active ingredient in oven cleaners that most people use for stripping.

get the smelly EZ-Off. Not the low odor. Get an old coffee cup with broken handle so nobody ever uses it. Set mini down inside and spay heavy. Let soak, run under tap water. You may need a toothbrush or small pick (old Xacto blade) to get into the creases and fine crevises.

A question about using oven cleaner, does it make a difference for the pre heat stuff, or can you use that the same.

It seems that its impossible to find ready to use oven cleaner here, its all pre heat stuff.

And given how awful the ovens are, I dont see why bother anyway.

I\'m a big fan of the EZ-Off, been using it for dang near 20 years to strip minis. I like the stuff that comes in the plastic \'atomizer\' type bottle as opposed to the metal spray can. I get a glass jar, spray 1/2 inch or so into the bottom of it and drop in the minis then close the lid. Come back an hour or so later and wash/scrub them off with an old toothbrush.
