Hi!

I tried more photos, but I cannot take a shot, that looks like in \"real light\"

What I got:

- 2 x 35W daylight neon lamp on the ceiling
- Nikon D40 @ Niccor 15-50mm F2-F6,8

The cam seems to have the following problems with the minis
- white balace (the bleached bone helment is shaded (softly) from bleachedbone with snakebite to bleachedbone with white only on the highlights
- focus some parts of the model are not crisp (f.e. the legs)

here are the pics

Any hints to do better fotos

thx Matze

:D nikon d40 rule!!!! have one my self.

a couple of tips:

1. check the photography articles on cmon, everything you need to know,

2. get a tri pod and use self timer or shutter release cable ( i think thats wot there called  ) makes taking photos so much easier

tips

thx. I read in the forum before.

But i\'m not able to buy a studio-lamp -> I\'m no pro. Do you think with the neon it would be possible to take good fotos?

If all else fails you could search through some groups on flickr.

D40 groups:

F22 and aperture

Sorry ... my english is not that good in special terms.

what do you mean by:
Stick the cam on aperture priority ?
=> don\'t know how to do.

\"stop down to f22 or thereabouts.\"
=> I tried with F22 and colours seem to be okay.

I think, they are a lot better. But I\'ll by a tripod. F22 needs very calm hands. *g*

Aperture priority will let you control your aperture setting and will auto-set the shutter speed for the correct exposure.
I believe the D40 even sets ISO for you as well!

Turn the dial to \'A\'!!
