Depends on how you define talent. If you mean can you be taught to do something that requires dexterity/skill, absolutely. Some people are better at picking up this sort of thing than others and those with the greatest facility are usually thought of as gifted or talented but a great many things are within the grasp (so, no pun intended) of the average person if they put their mind to it.Originally posted by cookster

Hard work and discipline make a big difference too though. A hard working individual could surpass a more talented one who is lazy. On the other hand if two people both work just as hard, and one is more talented, the more talented one should outshie the less talented most of the time.
