Tarascus!

Well, I recently finished my newest project, one that had been sitting on my desk half-finished for nearly a year!

This is by far the biggest miniature I have ever painted, so there were lots of learning experiences along the way.

So, for your viewing pleasure, here is the Tarascus:

Please feel free to vote on it (it\'s awaiting approval at the moment)HERE (Bigger picture on the voting page!).

Anyhoo, thanks a bunch! :D

Can you even call that a mini anymore?!?

That is massive.

I didn\'t know Rackham did models that big, do they have their own version of ForgeWorld now?

You did a splendid job, the weathering is very nice. Did you use a brush for all of this, or was some Airbrushed?

Thanks for the feedback :)

Rackham released a very small amount of these a couple years ago, just part of their normal range of products.

No airbrushing on this, all a GW \"standard brush\" or smaller :)

Wow if you did that monster with a brush then no wonder it took so long. Awesome work did the vote thing.

Fantastic! I really like the armor and am amazed that you got it that smooth on such a big mini without an airbrush.

Thank you all for the kind words!

Yes, it was pretty time consuming without an airbrush, but I did a lot of glazes and \"feathering\" style blending so that sped things up a bit.

Thanks for all the comments!

The white armor was done with the following colors: Codex Grey, Fortress Grey, Skull White, then shaded with a mix of Chaos Black and Codex Grey. Finally a few very light glazes of Brown Ink and Black Ink mixed together in the recesses.
