He looks pretty nice and smooth, but I don\'t think he is finished yet. I think you should sharpen a few of the details; the large areas are very effective, but some parts such as the eyes lack definition or \"pop\" - it also looks as if you have \"gone over the lines\" a bit on the symbols on his sides. You could perhaps consider adding a few different colours to the details too, as when all of his necklace, for instance, is the same colour, it looks like you have rushed it even if you haven\'t! perhaps you could change the colour of his eyes? Finally, I think you could add more depth to the cloak with a few darker washes in the recesses, as it looks pretty rough at the moment, especially in comparison to the skin, which is awesome! Do something nice with the base and i think you\'ll have a great mini here :]

@Bill, hmmm, i suppose ill have to wait to try and make those adjustments, i dont have any brushes with tips, they are all frilled and crappy...my order isnt in!!...as to rushed, this was originally done for the GW speed painting, so it technically was rushed hahaha

ill try adding white and maybe some darker buish to the eyes, maybe add some source lighting around them?

as to the cloak, its actually quite smooth, the issue is the metal, the little bumps and bends reflect light and make it look rougher, but some spots could be better, however as i dont own the paint i cant fix it :S

oh and the base is done, its sand, just didnt photograph well, i guess when i get aorund to touching him up ill get a better pic of the base

@Kaine, they were nice, the colours were nice to use, and i will be picking up a few, my fave brand is still P3 however

thanks!

Hey Starks :)

the gold appears too cold, it looks like it needs more contrast, and some warmer hues.

I think some freehand on the loincloth would also befit this mini.

and I agree with the previous posters that the eyes need more depth.

it does look gold eh...i actually just used tau ochre i guess it has a natural goldy yellow look

i can add a bit more purple/brown shading, maybe a hint of red and then exagerate the highlights a bit?

i was thinking of freehand as well, im just not sure what would suit this model as his scheme is natural plain and simple
