Hi all. I painted this figure up and was quite chuffed with the way it turned out and it was good fun to paint. I have acquired another of the same figure recently and so the question is what do you recommend to improve the figure and make it better second time around. I\'m guessing that the base could do with some refinement.

Up the contrast.
Make the final highlights brighter and the darkest tones darker. Might mean you having to delve into \"colour theory\" territory to achieve it.

As for the base the soft tones of brown don\'t work against the neutral grey for me, So I\'d definitely change that.

To some extent, yes. I\'d darken the shadows of the metals, but I\'d leave the levels of the cloth as is.

I\'d tidy up a bit his top white cloth and the blue of his face.

I\'d also add some extra weathering to the base (paint chippings, dirt, ...).

Other than that, looks good :).

Any chance of seeing a pic of the back?
