I agree with Finnn17 about European taxes... here in Italy we have a 20% VAT on almost everything.

Joshua, next time you buy something outside the EC you can try to ask to send it marked as \"gift\" so you have a chance to avoid the import taxes.
And another important thing.. try to avoid couriers like UPS and similar because they will collect the taxex on every package.

A lot does depend on that customs label...

Some folk describe the contents as \'toys\' and value it at the scrap value of lead:flip:

This is good, if possibly stretching the law. No one ever opens these packages:D

I had one package where the idiot who sent it described the contents as \'collectible figurines\'. Guess what customs did with that? They probably looked at it and said, \"Bloody hell! it\'s just a load of toy soldiers..\" but having gone this far they slapped taxes on it anyway:(
