This is one of my entries for the Ravage Mix Open last weekend, Taxxis from Hasslefree Miniatures. Lovely sculpt by Kev White.

Nice one. Love the skin tones (not much else on this mini really ) did the vote thing.

It\'s great, but it is quite different from your usual stuff, is that conscious? This piece is alot softer and more natural, it\'s as if you\'ve gone from painting like Uglow to Caravagio (spelling) if that makes any sense.

In a way it\'s different, yeah. I used metallics, which I haven\'t done in a good while. And, since it\'s basically a complete nude figure with soft, natural features mostly, it lends itself quite easily to a softer look. I wanted to create a lifelike look of it. Unfortunately, some of the more subtle colour shifts in it doesn\'t come out much in the photos and the piece has a bit more dramatic lighting in real life. I think the camera has sort of toned those aspects down and \"buried\" them in the more dominating redish colours. I will try to light the mini differently and tweak the settings on my camera a bit and see if I can get more accurate photos... But it may be a while. Thanks for the comments everyone!

I\'m sorry Anders but the photo doesn\'t make the mini justice at all. It is more contrasted IRL and the atmosphere was really good. The brown-red aspect of the skintones is oversaturated as well. It was really good IRL

i bought taxxis a few weeks ago but haven\'t been able to get started on it because im waiting on some skull bases i ordered (they havent even been sent yet!!!!!! :flame: :cussing: )

i figured it would be cool to have her standing on lots of skulls
