If you\'re out of the loop, go HERE

The first time I heard of this film was when I went to see Spiderman 2 and I saw this huge movie poster hung up on the ceiling. It showed a sillouhette in front of flames and the title. I admit; Being one of those \"shifty Canucks\", I freaked out at first. I was like \"Just when you think they couldn\'t get more arrogant...\"

But then when I looked up info on the film; I found out the dastardly duo behind South Park were behind it. So now I\'m cool and am looking forward to the movie. What about you guys?

Yeah, looks like its gonna be a laugh, well at least it would be if it weren\'t for the fact that our (US, UK and Aus) governments are getting so damn scary.

\"You are free to do as we tell you.\"

Its about time the politicians realised that they work for us not the other way round.

looking good, the only concern I have is that it\'ll further any anti-amercian feeling people have. I\'m getting frankly anoyed at people yelling at each other on the net because they just find out their nationalities. I for one have been a good number of time been harassed on D2 because I was defending the amerciain/ french ( I do both :p) point of view. Kind of scary too  Trevor is right gov should listen a bit more to their \'empoyers\'

hmm...

I thought the movie looked terribly stupid when I saw the TV commercial. Then when I saw it was from the \"creator\'s of South Park\", I thought it looked even worse.

There have been things that made me laugh while watching South Park, but after you see one or two episodes of the poorly animated series, you pretty much \'get it\'. I even laughed at a few gags in Baseketball, but it got tired really fast.

If there has to be a puppet movie, please let it be Kermit the Frog and his bunch....

But, I try not to judge a book by its cover...I will most likely wait until it comes out on video....

I\'ll probably go see it, for all their vulgarity, they usually have some pretty valid views.
And who the heck you calling Arrogant?

I am probably going to see it, looks like a good laugh. I can only hope that this is \"entertainment base\" ie, the movie was made to entertain, laugh at everyone and not another bloody political movie. Hollywood and others who like to make movies should leave politics to the politicians.

I couldn\'t agree more!! This is unfortunately a growing trend, where, because of their celebrity status they get a free \'soapbox\' to spew whatever agenda they have.

At least they could back it up by eventually running for office and showing us \'normal\' folk how easy it is....lol

Hey, everyone is entitled to a voice. but I am not going to pay money to see a one sided view from someone regardless which side of the issue they are on. Besides, if you really try, you can take anything out of context.

As cruel as this sounds, I like to see actors and actresses as blank canvas, I could not care less anout their politicial views, they can keep that to themselves.

@Borg
From the trailer I saw, they\'re going to be making a lot of fun at the actors who use their status to try and push their political view.

I don\'t think that is cruel at all. But to carry that a step further, not only do I not care about their political views, but I don\'t care who they date, what diet they are on, what their house looks like...etc. etc. ad naseum.

I can appreciate them as artists, but prefer not to worship them as celebrities.

Come on, people

Only what 10 responses? Boy this thread dropped off the radar quick.

People, if nothing else remember this is a movie about MINIATURES. OK it\'s miniature puppets, but Warhammer and Confrontation minis don\'t lend themselves to animation very well. lol

And as for whom I was calling arrogant I think the name of the movie I was plugging says it all. It\'s A team made up solely( or so it seems right now) of Americans, but it polices the world. The saddest thing is , if a movie was made with this title twenty or even fifteen years ago, they would have meant every word.

Well, I a bit more excited about this before I learned that the wonderful animation short in \"Bowling for Columbine\" wasn\'t done by them...I had always assumed it was, as it was the same style, and it was satirical, funny, and entertaining.

Still, though, I\'m looking forward to the movie. America bashing, no matter how subtle, is always fun for us bitter canucks. :D

You Canadians have no standing army.
You can\'t send troops to help anyone.
You let terrorist\'s enter our country through your borders.
You bash the one country that will defend your country, the one country that patrols your sea lanes with our coast guard, the one country that will send you millions in aid should you need it.
Yet you still bash us....Now I ask again, who\'s arrogant?

Now you done gone challenged me, EvilDave

You Canadians have no standing army. You can\'t send troops to help anyone.
You let terrorist\'s enter our country through your borders.
You bash the one country that will defend your country, the one country that patrols your sea lanes with our coast guard, the one country that will send you millions in aid should you need it.

1. We HAVE an army. Canada has a small population, so it never was or will be the size of an Armada but we have an army. More importantly, that \"small\" army helped Britian and France turn the tide of both World War 1and World War 2 before America even got involved with either one.

2. You weren\'t taught any history or current events outside your country, were you? It was a Canadian Prime minister who started the U.N. Peace Keeping forces. The Canadian Millitary you think we don\'t have has been involved with the U.N. Peacekeeprs since they even began and Canadian Soldiers have been in Cyprus, Somalia, the Balkans, Israel, Haiti and Rwanda. Where were the American forces in Rwanda? We even fought alongside American forces in the first Persian Gulf War and more recently in Afghanistan after September 11.

3. Letting terrorists in your borders, this is rich, considering: the terrorists responsible for the attacks on September 11th had their training camp in Florida, not exactly on the border to Canada, Dave. Speaking of which, I might misunderstand Customs procedure but it seems to me it\'s YOUR border as well and that it\'s YOUR Customs agents that stop and check everyone from Canada entering the U.S. We do not LET terrorists enter our country anymore than you LET them past YOUR Customs. :moon:

4. And by the way, here\'s an atlas of North America, E-Dave. Only ONE country is in any position to invade Canada, can you tell me which one? Russia would have to cross the North Pole, then Alaska and the Territories, and that\'s going the easy way, otherwise they\'d have to go through either western Europe or China. China\'s millitary is designed for repelling invasions and the U.K. think we\'re still their colony. There is only one probable invader and it isn\'t Denmark.

Finally, I do NOT BASH America. I won\'t say I never did cuz anyone who can say they never bashed America in their life never knew it existed, your fellow Americans included. But I never burned an American Flag, assaulted an American or called their country the Devil. I got just as upset, scared and angry as any american when the four Hurricanes hit the coast and when every terrorist attack against the U.S. in the last twenty years from the first attack on the WTC to Waco and Oklahoma to 9/11 occured.

But then what the hell would I know, I\'m one of those shifty Canuks that\' hiding Osama Bin Laden in the basement of my igloo right next to all the Marajuanna I\'m growing to smuggle into the U.S. after we all have oujr gay weddings. Do yourself a favor and quit watching Fox News.

Now that\'s arogant. You\'ll just have to face the fact that america isn\'t the only country defending everybody eles and doing the greater good fighting \"the forces of evil\" (said with the spookie voice designed to sacre the masses).
