the last time I watched the olympics, Bruce Jenner was in the Decathalon Event.

I just can\'t quite \'get into\' it.

The only Olymipcs worth watching are the \"Special Olympics\", too much politics and ass kissing in the others. Funny how politicians seem to shy away from anything resembling \"Disabilities\".

yes that is true...

in the womens 4x1 last night, america replaced the first ever black woman in an olympic pool for a slower white chick

i was mad:flame: i dont think that was fair for her...and we ended up getting silver by like .12 to the aussies

After women swimming they interviewed the German girls who came in fourth (ugh) and they asked Madame van Almsik if she was satisfied with herself:
\"No, absolutely not! I just couldn\'t get in the zone and the waves of the American were so high I wanted to swim over and punch her in the face!\"

lol Gotta love it!

Hey fellow Canadians...

... does anyone else think its a travesty what they\'ve done to our team. Not sending guys/gals who qualify because they are not up their own arbitrary Canadian olympic scummy standard so they can afford to send more politicians in their place. Talk about corruption, there are more Canadian officials than atheletes. We sent more people in 1972 for gods sakes.:flame: We don\'t have a chance in hell to win anymore.
Maybe we should have a rule that if you go on the taxpayers bill you should have to run in the marathon, that\'d get rid of a few excess aging political types.lol
End o\' rant;)
That being said, did anyone see the episode whre Bart and Millhouse made the Candian basket ball team- says it alllol

I generally ignore the polotics of it all, but I am really into sport so I really enjoy the olympics, I dont see why the only sport we see on TV has to be football (soccer) and golf, I think its good things like badmington get there 5 mins of glory.

Did you see the British team? They were awesome - proper women, not the screwed up waifs you normally see! And their scores didnt drop below a 9 - I was most impressed to see that you can have thighs and busts and still be a gymnast!

But damn, I missed the opening ceremony, which in itself wasnt an issue, but i\'d have liked to see Björk...!

I think my interest began to wane when they declared Ball Room Dancing and Chess to be Olympic sports. :( NOw there\'s a big push to have Poker accepted as a sport as well. :(

Personally, I like Finn\'s list and will join an effort to make this the rtue Olympics. lol
