Television Addictions

I\'ve recently become addicted to the DIY network.

Watching them sweat cures my insane desire to remodel...LOL.

What are your weird or odd Television quirks?

I don\'t mean to start a thread about current prime-time shows, but the odd channel surfing shows you\'ll watch.
You know, not the planned stuff, but what you find yourself watching when there\'s nothing else on.

i find myself watching a lot of cooking shows...
i love emeril, the iron chef, jamie oliver, and the others, which is ironic \'cause i\'ve been a vegetarian almost 20 years(since i was 16), and they all mostly cook meat...

No TV, so no addictions.

But at the hotel we were staying at whilst visiting Salute, Laura put Jeremy Kyle on.

I was hooked. The whole thing was so mind bendingly insane, four people two of which are brothers were all sleeping together and ended up with one of the lasses pregnant. So it ended up with the brothers battling it out over who should be dad and who uncle.

Then you have Jeremy Kyle who is so insanely right wing and sees everything in Black and White (mainly black)

Fantastic daytime TV for the masses!

Ah yes. When I\'m back in the UK, I particularly enjoy \"Saturday Kitchen\", or \"Food Porn\" as I like to call it! :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

Other than that, I hardly ever watch TV. My TV set here in Germany isn\'t even hooked up to the aerial. I use it for watching DVDs.

Thats just trailer trash tv Matty same as Jerry Sprinnger, I often wonder is it acters a=or are people really that dumb???

One thing I don\'t miss when I am away is the one eyed monster, when I am home it is on as background noise and thats about it.

My TV watching has dropped off dramatically the past few years.

Heroes, Lost, and Battlestar Galactica. Now that BSG is done, that leaves only Heroes and Lost. Heroes is one of those \"I don\'t know why I keep watching this\" type series, and Lost is in its last season. I may or may not watch Eureka when it comes back. Frankly I find the time I spend watching a TV show better spent on doing anything else.

Aside from that, I\'ll sometimes drift off to sleep randomly watching something late at night, turning it off part way through a movie when I get sufficiently sleepy.

I\'d have to say with whatever hockey game is on and if none then whatever is on history channel. That\'s about it for me.

i would rather watch TV shows on DVD since I hate commercials even more than the inane shows, but when i DO surf the tv, i find myself watching strange shows like Wife Swap. I dont like it, but ive seen it 3 times in the last month, thats a lot for me.

I\'m another No TV freak. The two TVs that are in my entertainment room are hooked up to DVD players and video game consoles. The only TV shows I watch are seasons on DVD.

Currently watching Red Dwarf season 8 and just finished watching all 5 seasons of Babylon 5.

This is intermixed with Zabomafoo, Baby Eienstien and the Betrix Potter Complete series\'

I used to have the science channel on at all times.

I have the TV on all day while in my workshop, so I just found myself leaving DIY on, and it\'s been like that for days now.

That\'s what I was getting at.
All the shows that I actually watch,(Big Bang Theory, Heroes, Supernatural, Burn Notice, Legend of the Seeker, and stuff like that) I usually TiVo. So I can watch ALOT less commercials and watch what I want, when I want.

I have played Xbox Live so little this entire year, that I\'m considering just letting the membership lapse.

I was bored, I figured I\'d ask.
