I have a new submission! 
It seems like ages since I posted anything here (it is in fact about a year, but it was a few years before that!). More than anything I'm just happy to have the time to be able to paint again.

This was my second round entry for the Iron Painter comp over on the Wyrd Forums. The theme was "The next step", hence the mantrap. It was an absolute joy to paint. Such a lovely model. My painting is a bit rough here and there, but as its my second model done in as many years I'm pleased to get something finished. And I only had about 6 or 7 evenings to do it in due to being on holiday smack bang in the middle of the two week time frame.
I tried a couple of new techniques. Some tonal shading on the cloak (purple/cream rather than black/white) to try and keep the colour saturation up. I flit between liking it and thinking it looks weird, so any feedback would be interesting. Also, it was my first real crack at NMM. I'm pretty happy with this, particularly on the cloaks trim. I'm looking forward to trying it again on my next model.
Cool, well I hope you like it. Any comment or crit is always appreciated. I've definately got the bug back and have already started on a little commision piece which I'll hopefully get some WIPs of up soon.
