Terminator Arms

Hi guys,

I am trying to make the cross under the skull on the terminators look like it is stone/marble. Has anyone done this before? Please could someone give me the mix?

Depends what sort of marble you are wanting.

Try this;

Graveyard earth base
highlighted bleached bone
Then try glazing some very thin streaks in whatever colour you like - I used dark flesh I think for mine - do it lightly though so that you hardly see it.

Once that has dried, do some more lines but undiluted so that you can see them properly, but don\'t do as many.

Also, use another colour such as scorched brown to follow the lines - don\'t worry about being exact though, so long as they follow the curves and bends of the previous lines....

It\'s so hard to describe in words really...

Also - when you have something you\'re pleased with, cover with gloss varnish :p

the crux terminatus also looks really good in Codex grey shared with Scorched brown and hilighted by mixing in a bit of bone. Very cool stoney color especially with really dark brown marble streaks.

the hardest part about marble is to get the veins right, I\'d practice this first.

Make sure the veins are not too artificial (i.e. too perfect) or too random and use different, diluted layers (of the same color) to paint them, this gives a slight faded look, like they\'re inside the stones, not on top
