Loving the base idea, very sweet. I do like ppl who go out to find parts from nature to make their bases. it shows imagination. if that sourced from a tree root?

Thanks epic , that is a tree root , yes . We have all these little privets that grow on our property and there roots are just perfect for these , the head of Buddha is off one one my wife's garden statues ...heheeh

Thanks Darth , yeah I took that as the missus was yelling at me to get to work ,late as always ..trying to get some paint on as much as I can , there is so far about 6 -7 layers on the dragon plus shading and hilights in person it glows.

Nice one Tero , , I use it to either clean away paint I don't want, to blend or to add texture. They are a great way to put on pigments aswell . They are super cheap and when used ,just throw them out.

I started use sponge to paint on the 80's, just use the blister foams it's really fast to paint large surfaces like dragons or terrain and buildings, you can also mimic the stone effect. really nice tool to have.

As well as using foam, a tooth brush and old paint brushes I've got some natural sponges from the sea. they give beautiful texture. I really like the dragon dude and I'm not sure your picture in the gallery does it justice. Now the competitions over will you still refine it?

thank you Darth and. Maenas for the kind words about how my dragon would look better with a better picture , you guys are too kind.although it was 2 in the morning when I took them ,bit rushed I was . Yes I am still refining it , maybe I could redo my picture aswell .

Hey , I found this outside , it's bark off an Aussie pine tree , I'm going to use it as a dragon carcass with a Vulcan H'stan figure , what do you guys think?
