Living near the city where District 9 was set (Pretoria and Johannesburg are pretty much next door to each other) I can confirm that you've nailed it.

Very nice - I see that purple inspired you with these ones. Great base work as well Matt. I'm jealous - I'm not great at bases and really need to work on them.

I agree with Tero, those are some Epic bases Terra!
But you got me looking forward to that cool icy cave idea!

These are fantastic Matt. Getting cotton wool to look convincing as smoke is almost impossible but you've done a really great job

I have started more projects all at once , sometimes I get migraines from my mind racing and not stopping to think about one idea. I have at the moment 6 -8 main figures or dioramas going at once I need to invest some calm done vapour and chill sometimes . Too many voices in my head to listen to just one ....View attachment 46489here is my ice cave dio for a Hordes mini ,ice Troll dudeView attachment 46490this is for a local GW comp, the ball of debris will be added to with bricks and stone and more putty then I will burn out the Foam ball to leave a perfect inner circle sphere ,then Ahriman will be put in the middle with the lower half of the foam ball to look like he has an energy field blowing away his would be captors View attachment 46491this one is a FW siege thanatar who will be fully battle damaged ,on my third layer of chipping ,then will add transfers and lots of weathering ,fresh scratches and bullet holes ,then a whole lot of shading .

The way you worked that explosion reminds me of some pâpier-maché balls/spheres made with a balloon inside (which you will then pop later). You ave always super cool ideas!! ^^
The weathering in the robot is looking very good at the moment.

My first idea Maenas , was to use that technique, blow up a small balloon and then lace it front to back with something transparent, like hot glue or fibre glass resin in lots of thin strands over and over again . In side this protected sphere would be a terminator librarian holding up one hand in a pushing gesture to signify him holding a force field around him as a blast or magic goes over him . That one will be next
