Terrain discussions and ideas for cheap gaming

There used to be a terrain section in ancient time I think but thought I'd pop it on here as it is kinda fyi.
What do other like to use for terrain or cheap gaming ideas. I also like thoughts of building your own 3D dungeon maps and tiles... for example.
