Ok, so as most of you know I work in a place where when you want supplies for our hobbies, its not just wander down to the LGS pick up what you want and go to work. Its more like find it online, order it, then wait, wait and wait some more.

I've had good service and bad service from some major players (Tower Hobbies falls into both categories actually - first order got here quick, second took almost a month).

But, there is one company I've ordered from that my order experience has been both pleasant and worry free - our own Dragonforge Designs. Jeff puts out good work - both the blanks and the regular bases are high quality, minimal clean up, easy to paint and work with a variety of minis.

Best of all, when I screwed up the shipping address on the last order due to impatience and a wonky connection I shot Jeff an email and it was no problem for him to change it so I got it here, not at my billing address.

So thanks Jeff!!

Back when I flew model airplanes, Tower Hobbies was the leader in mail order supplies. I would use them if I could not get something from my local supplier.

If I ordered from them, the order would take 3 days to get to me. (via 800 number to order, nobody had internet or email back then).

One weekend a major event was coming up, so I paid extra to have it delivered quick. And it took....... 3 days..... got there Monday after the event.

his service is great, and his bases are awesome...
i can't say enough good things about Dragonforge, and i use his bases on most of my stuff...
i like that they don't suffer from the clutter that the majority of companies do, where there is no good place to actually mount the mini...
what's the point of having a hyper-detailed base that the mini cannot actually be placed onto???

that said, the Wyrd, Enigma, and Dark Age bases are really cool, and don't rip off the designs from DF...
more variety is always good...

keep it up, Jeff!!!

cheers

They're not a mail-service or anything like that, but if you're in Montgomery Alabama check out a store called Visions. They're very well stocked on all GW products and they keep getting fresh circulation of Reaper Mini's as well. Not all of Reaper's lines, but the majority of them. Any time I've ordered a special item through them they've secured the piece within two weeks. (they do a fairly regular amount of special orders. They require $100 total of requests from however many customers before they send the order)

All in all a good store to buy from. The only shortcomings? They only carry the GW paints and you can't go on a friday night without smelling copious amounts of BO from the World of Warcraft Card Tourny. (there's a Hobby Lobby not 100 yards away though)

Glad to testify...I think?
