Testors Spray enamels-Primer Problems

Dissatisfied with my Tau I decided to strip them and go with a new color scheme. They were not the only models that needed to be repainted so I promptly rounded up some metal figures as well and dumped them all in a tupperware bin full of brake fluid. I let them soak for a week and then took them out to wash off the paint. To my horror I found that only the fire warrior\'s paint would come off. All my gun drones held their paint despite furious scrubbing. The paint on the metal models came off, but that took some work. Then I remembered that I had primed the gun drone sprues with testors spray paint. What\'s more I had not used a primer but rather a flat enamel. So what I want to know now is what is the best way to remove that paint from the plastic gun drones. Also what is a good, plastic safe, white primer.

Try simple green maybe that will give it a good go it is what I use on gw plastic and resin. May indeed take a long time to soak but worth a try. I use a toothbrush to scrub off paint then I prime with vallejo\'s paint on primer diluted with a bit of water,

I would try Simple Green as well, seeing as that\'s about all I use nowadays. Used to use Pine Sol, but it left things really goopy. Not sure how well it\'ll attack the Tamiya enamel, but it\'s worth a try.

For primer, I usually use Vallejo GC brush-on primer or Duplicolor sandable spray primers. Been having problems recently finding the white spray primer though.
