Guns \'n\' Ammo

In the UK:

All handguns are illegal..full stop. Unless you are police or military.

Rifles (firearms) are legal, if you qualify for a license. Ie you have to be sane, have max security and have a place and reason to use them.

Shotguns are the same, but slightly less tight controls.

All controls are gradually being tightened. I have just had to upgrade to a \'firearms\' licence from a \'shotgun\' licence
because a couple of my air weapons now require \'firearms\' level of control.???

There is a chain of \'pubs\' (I use the term loosely) over here called \'TFI Fridays\'.

I thought they originated from the States, so I thought it was an Americanism....

It was founded over here, but here they are called TGI Fridays, as in Thank God Its Friday. Why they changed when they went over there, who knows. You are right though, I would only very loosely call them \"pubs\". HEre they are refered to as \"casual dining\".

They are called TGI Fridays over here as well (and they do nice buffalo wings!).

There may be pubs called TFI Fridays as well (who knows), but there was a TV program over here with an annoying ginger host that was called TFI fridays
