That's one way to wake up!

I know I've checked my schedule, I've always double checked my double checks because I know I've got such wacky hours that I might miss a shift if I don't do that. And today my boss calls me and wakes me up and asks me why I'm not at work, I'm supposed to do half a day shift today.
Now as politely as I can I tell her that no, I'm doing my first workday this week on Thursday and that's a full day, that's the latest news I got and that's my updated schedule.
And she tells me the name of the production manager that gave me the shift and then I know that he must have forgotten to tell me about putting me there because I'm positive I haven't gotten any hours at all from him in the last two months.

Oh, well. At least I've got a job.

ouch chrome, your schedule seems pretty messy... not the greatest way to wake up. heading or work now?

feel lucky you dont work at posten logistics anyway, i have a friend that works there. that must be swedens worst workplace. a girl there got fired for complaining about sexual harassment for example, and people are called 'damn idiots' by the bosses for not working overtime. also, they had no raise even though posten could bath in cash last year. welcome to sweden 2010/2011... sigh...

yeah, I'm heading there now. It kinda ruined the day but hey, it's money. And besides it's only half a day anyway. Luckily(sadly?) I can't do overtime unless I work a LOT , I have to pass the normal time quota for each month which usually is somewhere around 160 hours, and I'm working roughly 100 per month and gets paid more than I did at my last full time job. Yay for tax differences!

And doing up to 160 hours per month in this line of work would mean doing two shifts per day...

Bathe in cash last year? From what I heard the company did their worst year in ages 2010...

I think Logistics is their own company... I guess it was just the Parent company that did bad in general. :)

isnt that strange? feels like people are sending packages like never before by mail, the net-shopping is huge nowdays... in my world posten should earn lots of lots o cash, especially considering how damn expensive it is to send stuff...

By my reckoning, companies are making more money now and using the "crunch" as an excuse to hold on to it. All the time making "important cuts" to hide the facts. Pretty sure if you look at sales figures etc at random it's all pretty self evident.
