The Amazing Wonder Brush

I think I may have found just the right brush for all of us who assemble miniatures before painting. While going through Michael\'s today picking up brushes, I stumbled upon what looked like one really messed up brush. Wondering how in the world someone got it bent in such a way I picked it up and knew I had to buy it. The brush is made by Loew and Cornell and is obviously made for miniature painters.

Called the Tight Spot, its a 10/0 brush made with the tip at an angle to make it possible to reach all those places your normal brush can\'t go. The problem is however, there was only one left in the store, and it didn\'t even have a price tag, so I can\'t say what the cost is (Most L+C brushes go from $7-13 Canadian).

I have yet to try it, however I think I may have found an absolute steal.

I had one of those once...might still be in my suitcase of brushes come to think of it...and I gave up using it very quickly. I dunno...thing just annoyed me to no end. Hopefully you will have more luck with it.:flip::bouncy:

Quite frankly, hard to reach areas are my sworn enemy. This brush could not possibly cause more headaches.

So far its proven to be extremely useful, though a bit of a pain to clean. Got to use it almost immediately due to the cowering Empire soldier on my Beastlord\'s display base.

well, since i\'m a firm believer of \'if you can\'t reach it, you can\'t see it, thus don\'t paint it(leave it dark)\', i think i\'ll pass on this thing. It looks extremely cumbersome and awkward to use....

Plus it looks like they aren\'t doing a left handed version. ;)

I think I will pass on this as well as tammy says if you can\'t get at it leave it black or some other dark colour.
I have serious doubts on its usfulness though have several qualifications for coppersmithing and TIG welding up to class 1 I know how damn awkward a TIG gun can be so this beast isn\'t going to be much better.

I have absolutely no idea how this is meant to work any more or less effectively than a normal brush. There\'s still a long bit of ferrule on it that will hamper access to hard to reach places. Maybe on really big minis....

I\'d try one...

But only because I am...

*Gadget Man* :D

The real problem with this brush IMO would be storage...those bristles would soon get damaged...

I prime white so its rather obvious most of the time. Personally though not meant for a lot of jobs, its proving to be a bit of a blessing in certain situations, and since I didn\'t even pay for it, I\'m certainly glad I picked it out.

It is hard to hold, it feels unnatural. I can paint better with a straight handle with a couple rubber bands wrapped around where I hold it.

My concience won\'t let me do the \'if you can\'t see it don\'t paint it\' theory - if I know I have not painted it I cant see my mini as finished!

Nuts I know but that me for ya.
