yes, bloomy name for my plea, but hey, i want aswers ;)
Q: i\'ve ordered some techstar snow from the cmon shop and it arrived a few days ago.
I read about applying it like ordinary flock (i.e. apply some white glue and then spread the snow all over it.
But I also read about mixing the snow with white glue (and even about adding white color) and then decorate your base with the mixture.
Has anyone suggestions what is \"better\" or anything particular about the techstar snow?
Ff you say that both ways work i guess i\'ll have to figure it out my self what i actually try to avoid due to the very limited amount of it.
regards, josh

I use woodland scenics snow and what i do is mix the snow with slitely watered down white glue till its thick and a tad lumpy then aply to base it should give you nice hepping piles but will look like its melting so then I sprincle some of the snow across the top makeing it fluffy again :)

heres a link to show you how it looks sorry not the best pic but should give you the idea

If you are worryed about useing up the tecstar I would pick up some of the woodlan scenics snow for the mixed part. then use the tectstar across the top.

the problem is that i couldnt find artificial snow in germany yet.
so i cant use woodland scenics snow as \"base\" for my tecstar stuff :\\
But your suggestion of mixing it and then spread some loose flock over it sounds pretty good, thanks :)

I also have used woodland scenics snow scatter and I prefer to mix it with pva glue (watered down). The only problem is that the pva dries clear and gives the snow a slushy appearance so I would recommend a bit of thinned down white paint in with the mix as well and then also once dry sprinkle some more over the top to get tat snowy texture.

If you like I can send you some its in omost evry hobby shop here in the states in a 32oz. (819cu. cm. for you metric guys:) ) for about $8 just shoot me an email justindz@juno.com

baking soda works great (it has a sparkle in it) or snow flock will do.

my method: mix a 1:1 paste glue to baking soda (or flock) and add a TINY, TINY amount of blue ink (Citadel colour)
and spread, then sprinkle a bit of fresh flock on top

customs agents!!

I can just hear the customs officers when a 32 oz bottle of a white powdery substance comes floating through....

\'sure...its for your toy soldiers..\'

Anyhow....I do have some of the Techstar snow and I have found it works a bit better if you use superglue instead of PVA glue. It seems to \'hold its shape\' a bit better. I\'ve noticed with PVA glue, it tends to condense and collapse a bit when drying.

thats my 2 cents...
