The Best Cartoons

When I was a kid:
Looney Tunes, especially Bugs Bunny and early Daffy Duck (with teeth!)

Old Fleischer Studios Popeye (where the opening credits have the slamming hatches), I never liked the Famous Studios Popeyes, because I\'d cry whenever Brutus would beat Popeye up.

Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids

The Tarzan Flash Gordon hour of Whatever the H3ll they Called it by Filmation.

I could never get into Mickey Mouse because there just wasn\'t enough cynicism.

These days:
Billy and Mandy
Family Guy
Futurama- I believe that this show was made specifically with me in mind and I think that it\'s nice that other people enjoy it, too
Aquateen Hunger Force
Harvey Birdman
Sealab 2021
All that anime my wife makes me watch like Full Metal Alchemist, Inuyasha and Samurai Champloo

And I\'m, like, one of about 90 people in the world who likes Tom Goes to the Mayor.

One of my all time favorite animated movies is Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed, the first feature length animated movie all done with silhouette cutouts. Link

Originally posted by marineboyJohnC, you\'ve got all the old animé there...but you\'re missing one of my favorites...Marineboy!lol

For me, the list is:

Speed Racer (nr 1!)
Kimba the White Lion (..When you get in trouble and you\'re in a fight...)
Marineboy
Astroboy
Gigantor (used to buid him out of Lego..)
UltraMan (not cartoon, but cartoony in the extreme)
Johnny Sako and his Giant Robot

and the american stuff:

Space Ghost
Wacky Racers
Catch That Pidgeon!
The Jetsons
Johnny Quest
Clutch Cargo

and the non-cartoons:

Lost in Space

My age is showing too.lol

You\'re the only other person I\'ve come across who knew what Ultraman was. I used to love that show. I remember the local television station went off the air (permanently) right in the middle of an episode when I was a young lad.
