The creativity difference between the average gamer and GW scares me...

Tyranid Forgotten Fleets

The above was done by a gaming group that had an apiffony one day...

I only wish that I had a more open gaming group so that I could use these rules, as it is I still have to get everyone of my Wartrukk conversions \"Scruitinized\", and every new paintjob is critisized...:(

Yes, but the point isn\'t for you to use their specific bugs, just for you to make your own and be creative with the rules.

I\'m glad that GW\'s been bringing in rules like the monster creation rules, I just wish that they\'d finnaly make them official.

Making the monsterous creature rules official would be bad just like it would be if they made the armoured vehicle modification rules official. Most good intending gamers would be OK I agreed, but we all know there would be the uber gamers that would exploit and abuse these rules, making local tourneys and GT unbearable. Just my two cents that\'s all!

Well - those rules are sort of the same as the VDR (vehicle disection rules :p ), and are, as such purely optional.
This should in no way stop you from using them though, and convert all your hearts desire :) (having just seen your models here on CMON, I can see it\'s in wain to tell you that, as you\'re already at full speed there. Nice conversions - keep it up :) )
Maybe, if you make a few cool things, and find some like-minded players in your group, there might be more of the group realising that it is, after all, only a game, and that the prime idea of it is to have fun, not to limit it, and therefore would start to use these rules themselves for some more fun/interesting/challenging games.
Another good way of getting to use these rules, is to plan ahead with an opponent, that you use these or those rules, published/posted there-and-there, \"and here\'s a copy of the rules for you to read\".

As for the criticism on the paint jobs, you could always try to turn that into something positive, by asking what they think is wrong, how you should do instead and so on and so forth.
