The creator of the Angry Marines. ..??

greetings.

I'm thabow and I'm new to the forum, but not to warhammer, I've been involved with the Hobby for about 21 years on and off as time has allowed.

recently I got back into it fairly heavy and as a side project for a contest I did a unit of Angry Marines which have so far been pretty well received. But before I do anymore with the angry Marines as a concept army, I was hoping to get the opinion of the creator or creators who first came up with the idea for the Angry Marines, since they now seem to be the most popular Fan chapter around. It may seem silly to go looking for permission, but I know if someone else did a unit from my Mean Marines, I would appreciate being asked my opinion.

So after looking through a few sites, I was finally directed here, and I'm hoping someone here will know who to point me to.

In the meantime, here's a group shot from the unit which I call the No Guffs.

Angry Marines are the funniest thing anyone has done with Marines...
well worth a Google, Freak and Vike...
i think there are some in the gallery here, as well...
unfortunately, i haven't seen any painted to the full potential, but some of the drawings i've seen are just classic...
i would like to take a crack at a couple, just to be able to paint f**k on pwerfists and give Marines beatsticks...
hahahahaha

i'd like to know who started them, too...

They're much cooler than Pretty Marines!

Edit - Research suggests they originated from 4chan. Couple of sources here if it helps, and though the 4chan links are dead, the FanDex for Angry Marines is still out there.

I saw your work over on Dakka. I think you'll receive a nicer welcome here. People are generally more positive. They won't hesitate to point out flaws, but it's much more in a constructive-criticism manner.
