The Curious Case of Benjamin Boring

This was probably one of the worst films I have ever seen. I felt like walking out after about an hour, it was that bad.
Stayed due to the fact Laura was enjoying it and I didn\'t want to waste the stupidly high price paid for a cinema ticket.

Benji could have aged forwards and the film would have been exactly the same.

Anyone else seen it?

Peace and love...

Can\'t say I\'ve been that excited by this film... Probably won\'t see it. Definitely not in theatres.

Dying to see this movie.......................NOT!

Can\'t say that there\'s anything catching my eye, on release at the moment. Only thing I\'m planning on seeing (eventually) is the Star Trek Movie.
Hate wasting good money on a NAFF movie, hate wasting good money on a movie that Fran falls asleep in...........That\'d be most of them, then. lol

Me and my girlfriend went to rent a film the other day, something we haven\'t done in probably 4 or 5 months. Thus, we thought there would be plenty of new films to chose from. Of course, there WERE lots of new films, but basically NONE that interested us. So, in the end we chose a film that we had as a choice the last time (4 or 5 months ago).

I hadn\'t seen any trailers or reviews prior, just knew that it was about a man aging backwards, so I figured it could make quite an interesting film.

Unfortunately it wasn\'t. It was stupidly long, the entire section of Daisy on her death bed with her daughter reading Benjis diary (and where the feck did he get that from? He never wrote in it during the flashbacks) could have been taken out saving a good 45mins.

I had no connection to any of the characters. Which was a fundamental flaw considering pretty much every person he met died, but I couldn\'t give a rats arse when or how they died.

Brad Pitt is still a shite actor. His one expression can only get him so far. He can do well when surrounded by talent, but in this he wasn\'t.

All the comedy elements were slapstick bollocks, completely out of place for the tone of the film.
But there was scene that made me laugh, near the end there is a slideshow style bit of all the characters he has met over his life with a voice over saying \"mother, friend, employer, lover, daughter\"...etc, and you can just imagine the voice over saying \"and thanks to blood donators these people will all live go see another day.\"

But then the film has been put up for umpteen awards...so what do I know.

Peace and love...

certainly doesn\'t interest me matey sorry you\'ve had to suffer it....

@Anders .. funny you say that I recently decided to go trade a load of my dvd\'s in at blockbusters purely to change over and get some fresh films to view.. I ended up bringing most of them back because there ws nothing new that took my fancy ...

later in the year... Star Trek has my interest piqued but not foaming it could be potentially fantastic and I\'ll be watching it through the eyes of a naive non hardcore fan..

Transformers 2 should be fun if nothing else...

terminator preparing myself for disappointment...
as you can see I don\'t ask or much in a film just something to keep me awakeand allow me to finish my popcorn and coke...

....Saw underworld last week and my hopes were soundly battered into oblivion...(vampires and werewolves in a film bitter wars between them and they focus on the love element that we already know happened... waste)

I think movie critics think the most highly of all movies that most people do not want to see. It is like the critics think that people will really rush to see crap movies just because they give the movie four stars. Critics are worthless.

I also think it is pretty sad that it was nominated for 13 oscars. For once I would like to see a movie like Aliens up for best picture. Although I think Return of the King received best picture.

Dragonforge posted a little movie trailer that was called the

Strange Case of Forest Gump.

In trailer format, it showed how it was basically the same exact movie. The writer from Forest Gump was the same guy as the one for Benjamin Button....

It was hilarious butI can\'t seem to find it online anymore, seems Paramount has nixed it.

I guess if you make a movie that is a big hit make the same movie a decade or so later for some extra income.

My Mam fell asleep during the landing scenes of Saving Private Ryan. My old man still drags it up at gatherings. How can anyone have managed that particular section of that particular film as a point to have a quick kip? lol

Had it been later on in the film, it would have been understandable... but the landing scene? ??? lol
