Admittedly, I have only heard one song, but the name \"THE DARKNESS\" conjures up images of death metal or something Ronnie James Dio is hollering about...

The name doesn\'t quite fit the sound, but oh well.

Well in the tradition of 80\'s hair bands they should have been called Hawkins (ala Warrant, Slaughter, Van Halen, Bon Jovi etc etc), or perhaps The Screaming J Hawkins Band, but I think they could have run into problems there from the other Screaming J Hawkins.

It\'s still hate based on skin color, which is IIRC \'a bad thing\'.

I\'m not a fan of most rap (with some exceptions), but I luckily have a little button on most of my A/V devices that lets me turn them off when I first sense its presence.

I\'ve gotten to where I don\'t like much of anything \'new\', music wise. I must just be getting old.
