Hello SaintToad,

Thank you very much for your nice comments. Durgin Forge is a company from Italy. They have a range of about figures now, most of them are dwarves and they have just finished their second Kickstarter campaign for about 20 more. The also some great dogs, and they also have a 75mm figure. The second KS concentrated more on humans. They will be released around 2020, but I wish they were already here. My figure for the trouble at the library piece was also a Durgin Paint Forge. One of the better ranges I've discovered the last couple of years.

Take care,

Gino(2dope)

Hi Bam,

Thanks a million for your nice words, I appreciate it a lot. Got plenty more idea's I hope to realise one day, but for many I don't have the skills (yet) to do them.

Keep on BAMming,

Gino

Thanks for the tip. I had a look through their range and it looks pretty great. I love dwarves, too! I’m trying to discipline myself to paint the minis I already have, or I’d blow up the budget over there!

Hi all,

Here are some pics of my early WIP on this magnificent Captain Garfio bust by Spira Mirabilis. Sculpted by the super talented Lucas Pina. At the moment both the face and Bandana are about 95% done, beard and hair about 80% and the white jacket still has only a rough sketch in color. All painted using acrylics. All comments are more than welcome.
Cheers,

Gino

I really like your work! The textures on your clothing are really nicely done, and I also like the beard on your latest sculpt. Really well-blended, realistic ginger beard.

Hi Guys,
Thank you very much for your nice comments. As it's difficult for me to go to shows or meetings the internet is about the only source I have to know what people think of my work, so thanks a million!

I'll keep you updated as I progress on this magnificent bust but first...

Here are some pics of a figure I finished last september, for which I finally had time to take the pics. It's my first space marine ever, of course 28mm and by Games Workshop. I did change the left hand for one holding a sword instead of a gun, and added a couple of small extra details on the base, which came with the figures. As always, all is painted in acrylics with the help of a couple of inks and some pigments to do the weathering. I'm curious to know what you all think of it.

Cheers,

Gino.View attachment 78604
