The Dreaded Harbinger Assembly?

Hi all,

I just found this site today. I\'ve been painting minis since I was 12 (18, nearly 19, now) though my experience has been limited mostly to Classic Battletech miniatures. I\'ve been playing rugby in college, so its dropped by the wayside, until unfortunately yesterday I was told that what I thought was shin splints is most likely a stress fracture, and was prescribed \"6-8 weeks of rest\".

So, lots of free time just opened up.

Stopped by the local gaming store and was browsing minis for something to do, and the Harbinger of Menoth caught my eye...she\'s a real beaut. I just hope I can do her justice.

Now, I\'m having some issues assembling her, though. Most of it seems pretty straightforward, but I\'m trying to figure out how the chains and tails of fabric attach to the legs. I can see the general placement, but there\'s no real guiding indents or anything, and I can\'t tell whats supposed to be there, and whats just flash and excess pewter.

Could anyone give me any advice?

sorry to hear about the fractures...
at least your hands still work...

the harbinger is a very ambitious project to jump back in with...
the best way to tackle her is in parts...
i left the flag arm, the acolytes, and the chains seperate when i painted her...
the tails of her dress attach to her hips...

the best way to plan out the project is to see if anyone has the template from no quarter #1...it\'s been sold out a long time, but i know that there are photocopies floatin\' around...

if ya can\'t find someone here to help ya out, then try the PP forums...
the template will show where the body should be stuck to the base, and the spots for the acolytes...the chains are not actually all the right length(one or two need to be clipped shorter)...

unfortunately, my NQ is in cali, and i didn\'t get pics of the harbinger before i sent her off to the customer...she was a bitch to paint though...the flagpole bends if ya look at it too hard...

best of luck...

cheers
jah

Thanks!

Started earlier this evening...put four hours of painting in so far, and all I can say is I *think* I\'m done with the banner...at least for now.

Unfortunately, a quick survey of my paints and all I seem to have is \"tallarn flesh\". Wondering if I should just use it, or actually try and hunt down a differant tone...

Ah, the Harbinger... yeah, she\'s not an \"easy\" model to put together.

You might want to check out http://www.brushthralls.com, as I seem to recall they had an article about the Harbinger specifically.
