this is my new work "the evil from the deeps. " Warhammer scale, is carved with green paste, magic sculpt and Milliput. The rider is then 28 mm while the monster is 7 cm x 6.5 cm. I designed this model to give opportunity to create light on the scales while the style I was inspired not only the classic fantasy, but also to the Lovecraft mythos, especially Dagon. I hope you enjoy it. You can find this and other models on http://www.elder-forge.com/

Cool! I'm not really fond of the head yet though. It misses more details IMO. The scales are a bit flat too, but you can work that out with paint. Congrats on the awesomeness factor of the mini.

First unit that (if used for WFB) can use Sea Creature Spacial rule.... and I don't know why but I get a Mike Mignola feeling over it... Im loving it!

khavor did something like that

(Sniffle, sniffle) I'm honored to be used as an example, esp since others have done a better job than me.

Ilmarion: When you say copies, does that mean you're gonna have him cast?! He really is a beautiful piece of work. Looks like it'd be a bear to cast though with all the fiddly little bits. Or are you going the Cassar route and making each one individually? I'd be a nervous wreck if I had to pour an original into resin! Either way it looks great. Can't wait to see more. :)

@khavor, your work is indee a good and original idea, i love it and i'll use your idea for this work surely ;) i'm going to create molds and copies in resin with this work. I love the individual work but many copies somtimes can give their satisfactions ^^ You'll see the next very soon. For now bye and thank you to all guys :D

hey, thats really cool. im trying to work out which part of the base is underpinning the sea monster? youve done a good job in that respect as it looks pretty sturdy and it doesnt stand out as being obvious. youve also captured a great deal of graceful motion. a great piece of work :)

i think the scales need work. as it is, they look like blobs of putty smooshed on. if you had them worked in properly, it would look a lot better. shame, it's a cool design and has great movement to it.

ohh and now i think about it, the rider would need to be leaning forward or he'd get pushed off by the water

@moonmin82: Hi moon, i'm glad youlike my work. The base is undepending from the monster and i'don't need to use glue to combine the two parts. Thank you and see you to my next work :)

@freakinacage: Hi freak, aboute the scales, i've gived more space making the scale more "fat" , so i can give to the painter more space for play with colors. I immagine this creature with many nuances and lights jokes so i've thinked that these scales are the right thing to use on her. I like your idea about the knight, i'm sure to give him more dynamism using your board. I appreciate it ;) If you think that this model have a cool design and great movement, i'm happy: these are some of the ideas with which this model is born. Thank you, see you soon ;)
