This is mostly me blowin off steam at GW, but feel free to join in.
First off, where the heck is Katy, TX? Or Grapevine Mills? Or Marq-E? I LIVE in the state, and I have no clue.. not anywhere near me is as much as I know. These are the new places where GW offical stores are opening up.. ANd gues what? THEY ALREADY HAVE SITES THERE!!!!!
It\'s like opening up a Starbucks next to a Starbucks.. \"Oh, God I\'m tired, I can\'t make it across the street to get my Latte.. Whataminute.... A Starbucks! Thank God! I\'ll hav an espresso to get me over there!\" You get my point, one or two stores should be enough for the moderatly populated places, so these podunk places should have 1/2 by that equation.
I rant on and on about this because EL Paso has NO GW stores. THe nearest thing we have is a comic store that sells their minis, with a clerk who looks like he could talk my ear off about the next issue of Fantastic Four rather than know the difference between Chaos Space Marines and Daemonhunters. It goes without saying this hole in the wall has no gaming facilities and, not for the first time in my life, I\'m being royaly screwed over!
I\'m not even going to THINK about how I\'m going to get people interested in Confrontation so I can play if I can\'t even find someone to play WH40K!
And yeah, my city is small when compared to New York or LA, but it\'s the biggest until you go to Phoenix about 300 miles away and across two states!
So what needs to happen:
1) GW needs to open up more stores around the Southwest
or
2) East Texas needs to ceeded into New Mexico.
Note their not mutually exclusive. 2 may happen and 1 may never by the looks of it!
Yes, I am filled with Sarcasm beyond my megar years!
