Bent Brush

Since I posted a request to review my Owlbear models I have received several requests on how to do the flowers.

Part 1
Take an old brush, could be a paint, scrub, or toilet bowel brush matters not.
If it is a scrub brush the bristles are already in little clumps, if not cut a pinch of bristles off the brush.
Roll them between your fingers until you have a single point at one end and a splayed out bunch of bristles at the other.
Now a single drop of super glue is applied to the center most bristles. (Careful not to glue yourself to the bristles).
The glue will slide down the center bristle and create a bond at the bottom for al the bristles. This takes a very short time, say 30 seconds. Now you have a bunch of bristles that will become stalks for flowers.
Once complete set this aside. At this point you may want to put it on a small temporary base.
Part 2
Now a small container of tiny glass beads (generally called seed beads) needs to be available.
Some white glue needs to be squeezed in to a blob on a card or some other flat surface. Take the “stalks” by the small end and dip the larger splayed end in to the white glue. Smear it around as desired, the more glue, the more flowers.
Now while the glue is still wet dip it in to the container of seed beads glue side down. Liberally coat in beads.
Shake off excess beads and repeat if necessary. Let dry. (sometimes can takes hours faster with super glues but not as “full” in appearance.)
Part 3
Paint as you desire. And install in to the base of what ever miniature you wish.
Simple and quick.
