The future of the game(hopes)

Good afternoon, my name is Kjeld, I'm a huge fan of this game I really hope it continues for a very long time. I wanted to post some of my thoughts and Ideas, I know they may not really actually have an effect, but that doesn't matter too much to me. I hope everyone who reads this can tell me what they think, and what they'd like to see.

Being a more narrative style player, I enjoy making campaigns with stories, and themes to them, so the more factions this game gets, and the more units, and vassals make an appearance the better, I thought to myself one morning on my way to work, what if CMON released a narative way of playing, and made a campaign themed off of certain settings, with a certain amount of months, and possibly years dedicated to it. It sounded great, CMON will probably never get around to it, but to me, and I hope to others the idea sounds cool. It would start with them picking a theme, lets say the War of the Five Kings, this one being a larger campaign would have two major releases, and events themed off events from the books. The first, the Battle for Black Water Bay, the second, the Red Wedding. But what would these campaigns entail? They would bring forth, characters, units, factions, and attachments, some specifically for the campaign and others like it, and some that can be used in competitive play. for example, the First Quarter for the War of the Five Kings would be themed off the siege of Riverrun, and start with a two player starter adding the Riverlands, and they'd be going against the Lannister(Westerlands) then the rest of the quarter would add units from Riverland, and Westerland banner men, with a box like a Heroes box for the Riverlands, but with a mix of campaign exclusive characters, and ones that can be run competitively, I do have my own list of these units, and their names, I haven't yet made there abilities, and stats, but this is the gist. The next releases would be, units and characters from the whispering woods, and battle at the green fork, the next would be the Baratheon Brothers meeting up, with the addition of the Reach as its own starter, ending the first year with Blackwater Bay, then it would start the next year with the Greyjoys taking Moat Cailin, then the next quarter Theon taking winterfell, and then the Lion and the Rose Union for the next quarter, and to end the last year, it would be the Red Wedding, with the Riverlands, and North getting new units and characters, with the last final release being the Freys, with a new faction that will be in competitive play. When they finish one campaign they could do others too, like Aegons conquest, Dance with Dragons, Blackfyre rebellions, hell, just within the time-period of the Song books, you could have the conquest of slavers bay, the greyjoys invading the reach, Aegon(f) landing on Westeros, the Northern Conspiracy(which could even add Free folk characters to the Nights Watch, and to a Karstark mini faction) the fighting in the Riverlands, with the BWB, Freys, Stark Loyalists, and Lannisters.

That is everything I would love, but with a more realistic view, here's what I think is Happening, Targaryeans will get the stalwart shields as a unit, and hopefully units for the Royal Targ stuff from tactics, to make a quick and easy here's what you can use to field them. At beast the Arryns get a faction by the year to make the final Great house to get representation(representation as in some kind of character, or unit which the Riverlands, and Reach technically have), with hopefully some new units for the Yronwoods for Martell, maybe Uller, Greyjoy, Martell, and Targ attachments hopefully, maybe even a new Bolton unit. Definitely some form of Baratheon, Stark, Lannister, Neutral releases, and so on,

Please, let me know what you think, and what you want to see, or if you want to know what Units I have written down, I would be fine with sharing, and willing to get feedback of course, none of this is really going to happen, its just a hope.

Hi KJCL100023!

Thanks very much for your feedback!

I have passed this on to our ASOIAF team and they said "....it seems like a cool idea to explore..."
