The Gimp help me please lol

I\'m using Gimp 2.2 for Windows.
All you have to do to make a collage is:
1. create an image of the desired size for your destination. (File->New)
2. Load up an image that has something you want to paste into the destination (File->Open)
3. Select the part you want to copy (Select Rectangular ... shortcut R)
4. Copy that rectagular area to the clipboard (control-C)
5. Select the destination image and paste the copied area into it (Edit->Paste Into)
6. Drag the newly pasted area where you want it to go.

Not difficult.
1. First figure out how small you want it, in pixels.
2. Copy portion you want to paste to the clipboard.
3. Paste the copied area as a new image (Edit->Paste as new)
4. Select Image->Scale Image to get the scale dialog open
5. Click the chain link under \"Image Size\" to link height and width (to keep aspect ratio the same) and enter new size you want (just one of them... the other will automatically change if you clicked the chain link) and click the Scale button.
6. Edit->Copy the region in the new pic again to get the resized area.
7. Edit->Paste Into on the destination to see a smaller version.
EDIT: I may have misunderstood your question. What are you trying to do exactly?

EDIT: I may have misunderstood your question. What are you trying to do exactly?
\"the clipboard\" is a temporary storage space. You don\'t see it. When you \"cut\" or \"copy\" something and then \"paste\" it somewhere else, it is stored in \"the clipboard\" temporarily.
To make a front/back montage in Gimp...
1. load the front image
2. \"select\" the portion you want to show
3. use \"scale image\" to make it the size you want
4. repeat for the back image
5. create a new image that is as tall as the front and back images put together, and as wide as the wider of the two.
6. \"select\" and \"copy\" the front image and then \"paste into\" the new image.
7. \"select\" and \"copy\" the back image and then \"paste into\" the new image.

That program drives me nuts! read the tutorials on the GIMP help forums and you might have half a chance of making it work.
I normally use Paint.net, it lacks many of the features in GIMP but it\'s easier and much friendlier to use.
