Yes they’re back! The Golden IMP Awards will be a key feature at this year’s IMP (Irregular Miniature Paintfest) on July 31st at Patriot Games & La Perle in Sheffield.
IMP is open to everyone, even if you’re not a Sheffield Irregular member (yet). Here are all the juicy details about the comp and prizes…
Open to ALL painters, this is a great opportunity to show off what you’ve been working on over the past 12 months.
Categories
* Unit
* Single figure
* Vehicle
* Open
Plus, new for this year: The IMPLing category for contestants 16 and under
Best in show is still chosen by public vote – so once again it’s could be won by ANY entry in ANY category
Prizes
Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of each of the 5 categories.
Best in show winner will receive the Golden Imp Award trophy.
Sponsor prizes:
Hasslefree miniatures are supplying a prize for best HF miniature (from any category).
Warlord Games are supplying a prize for the best historical figure in the Single miniature and the Unit categories, as well as runners up prizes.
How to enter
Your entry must have been painted between September 2009 and August 2010 to qualify.
Hand your entries in yourself before 1pm on July 31st.
You can only enter each category once.
Make sure you’re at the prize giving ceremony in the afternoon.
Judging
The judging will take place during the afternoon by a select panel of judges including:
* Martin Walters
* Mike Dodds
(Judges are not allowed to enter the competition, but can add miniatures to the display only table)
